My Story
In 1993 I started investing in residential Real Estate. In 2005, with the advice of friends and business partners, I decided to manage investment properties for others. I created Village Real Estate Services and expanded into the heavily investor driven market of Florida. As the business grew I wanted to concentrate on the hands-on part of property management, marketing, tenant relations, leases, repairs, and yes, even cleaning and unclogging drains.
In 2010 I teamed up with Continental Properties, at that time Continental was probably the largest non-franchised Real Estate company in South Florida. Continental Properties handle the financial aspect of the business. This allowed me to expand throughout South Florida and the Treasure Coast. I prefer a quality-versus-quantity approach to the business. While I could have a larger number of properties in my market area, I instead chose to create a company culture of superior customer service for our homeowner clients and investors. Even though I do manage Section 8 properties I am very selective on properties that I manage.

The name Sunny is a tribute to my late baby sister Sunny Jennings Carney. She was an amazing person who emphasized leaving “FOOTPRINTS”. I thought what better way to leave “Footprints” than to help people with their housing needs and Real Estate Investments. This philosophy is what separates Sunny & Associates from other Real Estate firms – we care enough to want to leave FOOTPRINTS in what we do.
